Do I need an account to use Lounge Chat?

No. Lounge Chat requires no sign-up, no email, and no password. Just pick a nickname and emoji avatar and you're ready to chat in seconds.

Are my chats private and anonymous?

Yes. 1-on-1 chats are private between you and your match. We never store message history — when you disconnect, the conversation is gone forever. Your identity is never revealed.

How does matching work?

Tap 'Start Chatting' and we'll pair you with a random stranger instantly. You can optionally filter by country. If you don't vibe with your match, tap Next to be paired with someone new.

What are the topic rooms?

Topic rooms are public group chats organised by interest — Gaming, Music, Travel, and more. Anyone can join and read the last 50 messages. Jump in and start talking.

Someone is being abusive — what do I do?

Tap the Report button during any chat. After 3 reports from different users, that user is automatically removed from the platform. You can also tap Next to leave immediately.

I was disconnected unexpectedly. What happened?

Lounge Chat automatically disconnects users who are inactive for 5+ minutes to keep the platform responsive. Just re-open the app and start a new chat.

Can I use Lounge Chat on both iPhone and web browser?

Yes. The iOS app is available on the App Store. The web version is accessible from any browser at our website — same features, same anonymous chats.

Is Lounge Chat free?

Completely free, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no ads interrupting your chats.

What is the minimum age to use Lounge Chat?

Lounge Chat is intended for users aged 13 and over. Users under 18 should have parental consent. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 on the platform.

How do I delete my data?

Because we store no personal data beyond your active session, there is nothing to delete. The moment you close the app or browser tab, your session data is gone automatically.
